"Hi! My name is Alexis and this is my story:

My best friend was sick. I really missed her too because she wasn't at school for a few days. I decided I was going to make a card for her. I made a card and we bought her family some doughnuts and I put the card inside of my card. They really loved it! That night she was at basketball all better!

Thanks for the card!"

"I have a friend going through a difficult marital separation. God has allowed me to be there for my friend in person. Often I just listen. There are times when words are not necessary, just our presence.

Well, today the help took on a different form and caused me to want to share this idea with the River family.

This morning my friend texted with strong concerns and a discouraged heart. The Lord led me to text a prayer back to him. This started a stream of several texts where I could encourage and challenge my hurting brother in Christ.

All of us need to use this wonderful technology that we have at our fingertips to the glory of God and for the help of our Christian brothers and sisters. Of course, being there in person is the best; but, when we can’t be physically present, we can certainly help each other via text or phone call.

Today, for my dear friend, the texts made the difference between a good and bad day.

One more ripple that made a difference! Praise God!"

"Sitting in our cafe' at church, a lady trying to manage a tray, purse, bag and 3 yr old was walking behind me.  The water she had spilled all over my back.  Once I determined it was not anything hot or that needed to be rinsed, I got up and got her a fresh glass of water.  Later she came up and said she was a waitress and had spilled plenty of drinks on people, but no one had ever reacted like that.  It was an encouragement she needed that day."

"I can't begin to tell you the feeling I had when I used the Ripple card at Der'Dutchman last week. There was a grandma (I'm assuming) and her granddaughter (age around 10) sitting at a table behind us. They seemed to be having such a good time, grandma and granddaughter just eating and talking. I asked our waitress to give me their bill and in turn give them the Ripple card. I asked her not to identify us. It was so awesome because after we walked out I turned around and saw the grandma put her hands over her face and she began to cry shaking her head as if she couldn't believe someone would do that for her. I had chills upon chills as I turned around to leave.

I hope you continue the Ripple Effect card for a long time, as I believe it is working!

God bless all of you."

"Hello !

As I was listening to your station earlier this week, I heard the story about the person who picked up the tab for the family who had 8 children. I was so inspired that I told one of my dearest friends yesterday on our way to lunch. She had heard the same story on your station, and had ordered and received her 5 Ripple cards. I asked her to give me one so I could participate.

As my friend and I were eating lunch, I saw 2 girls sitting behind me that seemed to be enjoying their time together as much as my friend and I were. When it was time for me to pay our bill, I asked the cashier to get me the bill for the girls sitting behind me so I could pay for it. I paid their bill and asked the cashier to give them the ripple card after we left.

It truly made my day and I thank you for reminding us that all we need is to love one another.

Blessings !"

"Good Morning:

My daughter and I were at a local shoe store yesterday and there was a lady looking at shoes next to me. I have very large feet (size 11) and apparently she did too. As any women knows who has large feet, it is extremely hard to find a pair of shoes that you like (and fit well) at this size. She called someone on her cell phone and said, I found a pair of shoes that fit and I really like but they cost too much so I'm not going to buy them. Instantly, God spoke to me and reminded me of my Ripple Cards! I went to the sales clerk and asked her to give the Ripple Card to the lady and let me pay for her shoes. The sales clerk was so cute and excited about participating in this. She had heard about the Ripple Effect but wasn't sure how it worked.
So, the sales clerk went to the lady, told her that the shoes were paid for. The lady immediately got on her cell phone and called someone and was SO excited and surprised that someone had purchased the shoes for her. She just kept saying, I can't believe this.

God is awesome and I feel blessed to be able to pass his love and grace on to others through the Ripple Effect!"

"Hi, I received my Ripple cards & just want to thank you for starting the Ripple Effect and let you know how it is changing even people around me. I have only used one card so far, at a fast food drive thru; the guy at the window had heard a little about the ripple effect and I told him I wanted to pay for the car behind me. He started smiling & you could see he was enjoying this as much as I was. I asked him to give them the card but to keep it a secret J.

I mentioned the Ripple Effect cards at work and one of the ladies I work with didn’t have the cards but she decided to use your same concept and she bought 2 relaxing porch chairs for her retired neighbors (they only had 2 fold up chairs); she put them on their porch secretly so they would find them but not know who did it. She was so tickled to do this for them.

So as you can see, it is spreading and I love it! To be able to be a blessing to people anonymously in this “pay it forward” lifts my spirit so much & as I saw at the drive thru with the cashier @ the window, his spirit was lifted as he smiled and said God Bless you as he handed me my change.  Keep it going everyone!"

"My name is Debbie and this is our story:

I have not had the chance to pass on a card, but we have sure done alot of unexpected things for people.  We took in three kids 2 1/2 years ago to prevent them from going into children services and together as a family.  They just recently moved back in with mom, and while they were here, we weren't sure how we were going to get them (7kids) Christmas gifts but told them the real meaning behind Christmas and we would make it up to them.  Well 2 days before Christmas we came across enough money to get them each a $50 gift and then we took $100 and handed it out to complete strangers.  The most memorable one was on Christmas Eve, a man in a wheel chair sitting in the middle of the road, he had a can of beer in his hand (and we don't like to give money to people who drink to support their bad habit), instead of judging him we drove up beside him and I reached out and handed him $10 (I wanted to give to more than one person), he was very grateful, we drove around and couldn't find any more homeless people so we went back to where we saw him and he was still there, so I reached out again and gave him $30, he sat in his chair and danced up and down with such joy and I knew how much it meant to him, it gave me goose bumps and tears in my eyes to see someone appreciate something so small.  I now plan on making it a Christmas tradition, my kids were like "mom why did you do that", and I said because there are people out there with less than we have, I want to teach my kids, and the ones we cared for, how to open their hearts and think of others, and life isn't all about them, and what they have or want, and the true meaning of Christmas.  My oldest son is real good about it, there is one homeless lady he sees often and he will take her and treat her to a value meal, or give her some money when he has it, he was worried about her during the holidays because he hadn't seen her in awhile, but he did recently and he had me pull over so he could give her what he had in his pocket.  We ourselves don't have alot, but we like to share what we do.
Thanks for your time."

"My 10 year old daughter strongly urged me to share our story. I tried to call the station but could not get an answer. She was very disappointed and wanted me to continue to try; which I did unsuccessfully. I promised her that I would send this email.

I baked some chocolate chip cookies for my daughter as a surprise for an after-school snack since cookies are not a typical snack for her. As she got off the bus the gentleman from the lawn care company arrived at the same time. When she came into the house she was excited to see some fresh baked cookies and more excited that she could have a couple. We decided that maybe he too would enjoy some cookies. I placed them in a baggie and then thought I should give him a Ripple Effect card too. So, I taped the card underneath the cookies so he wouldn't notice it until after he finished eating. I knew he would be bringing me the invoice when he finished treating our lawn. So I told my daughter that she could give him the cookies then. He came to the door and I told him my daughter would like to give him something. He had a odd look on his face. My daughter presented him with the cookies. She preceded to tell him the scenario of her mom baking them for her and thought he would like some also. His face lit up with surprise and joy! He thanked us and stated that he would have them gone by his next stop. My daughter was intently watching him as he drove away. She was very pleased that she saw him eating the cookies right away. Well, we don't think that the cookies made it to the next driveway let alone the next stop. What an exciting and warm feeling we had by simply offering some cookies. We sincerely hope that we did make a difference for this gentleman.

As a side note, I received my Ripple Effect cards about a month ago. That was the first one I handed out. I had been contemplating what exactly should I do to start my ripple. I'm pretty analytical and have to have everything planned out. When I instantly had the thought to give the cookies to him I knew the Holy Spirit was moving me. I am grateful that I heard the Lord when he spoke to me! Now I fully understand why the following quote is so special to me:

'Sometimes when we are generous in small, barely detectable ways, it can change someone else's life forever.'

~Margaret Cho~

Thank you for helping and encouraging us to do the Lord's work!"

"My story is not exactly a "River ripple car effect" but still very inspiring. I work at Veterans' Memorial in downtown Columbus. I collect money for the parking lot. And last Sunday one car said they wanted to pay for the car behind them, it was their daughter. It's not the unusual so I said sure no problem. The daughter pulled up and I told her she had already been paid for she said wow! Well here pay for the car behind me and tell them to pay the kindness forward. I was thinking wow! This is one of the coolest things that has happened here! So I told the next car that they had been paid for by someone's kindness and to pay it forward to some one today. They said Well here! Pay for the car behind us! And this process repeated itself yet again!! It was amazing to see!

Thank you!
God Bless!"

"My ripple began about four years ago when one of my nieces asked me about God. She wanted a Bible and I immediately went to the bookshelf and took down one of mine.
I decided then and there that NO ONE should ever want for a Bible and walk away with empty hands.
I found inexpensive yet beautiful Bibles at Barnes and Noble and keep several in my locker and car.
I work at a Columbus area hospital and have given away many Bibles to staff and patients there. Some are already Christians who forgot their Bibles at home...some are alcoholics and addicts who have asked me about God because they don't yet know Him. (My Papa). I pray over them and write this inside the cover. It's the same prayer that I wrote in my study Bible to bless the thief if it were ever stolen from my car. (I've recently come to realize that God has blessed me when I open that Bible...who woulda guessed?)

"Oh Abba,
Please bless the person reading this Bible every time that he (or she) opens the cover for his heart has brought him here to be closer to You."

Patients have found my prayer even days later and thanked me. They actually feel blessed when they read the Bibles that I've given them.

Always keep a Bible on hand to give away...you never know whose life it might change."

"I was rushing around the house getting ready for work and felt the stress of being on time. As I was driving and planning how I was going to get everything done at the office I wished I had taken time to eat my breakfast. I saw the line at the fast food restaurant was short. I pulled in and noticed the (if i remember it was black or grey) SUV ahead of me. I sat and wondered if the person was going to order just for herself or did she have children in the car. See I was in a hurry and just needed to get to the office on time. As I pulled up to the first window to pay; the cashier told me the lady ahead of me paid for my order and asked the cashier to give me this card. It was "The Ripple Effect" card. The lady driving the SUV picked up her order and was out of the parking lot before I could even honk or wave a "thank you". Her gesture did make a difference in my day! Thank you to the lady for buying my breakfast and I think the card is a good idea.

Over the years I have picked up the check at restaurants for the elderly, given a couple of dollars to a child looking to buy something with their parents permission, but to have had the "The Ripple Effect" card given to me has really made the experience more meaningful.

Thank you!"

"I work in a physicians office in the billing department. We had a patient come in who was behind on a couple of payments and I had to speak to her about it. After we had discussed her options on paying her balance she was called back to see her Dr. Another patient who had walked in over heard us talking and she came up to the window once the patient had left and said I want to make a payment on her account without her knowing who I am. She said this is my "ripple effect". Immediately I said 104.9, she laughed and said yes. She said she didn't have any cards so we used an appointment card and she wrote a note on the back for the patient and I took it to her. She and her mom both were lost for words. I myself was amazed on the ripple effect not on the patient but how it affected  other co-workers. I don't think the lady who did this knows what a Ripple Effect it had. Not only for the patient, but for the whole office staff and Dr's.

JESUS LOVES YOU AND SO DO I"

"I haven’t had the opportunity to give out any of my cards yet since I just recently ordered and received them, but I wanted to let you know that I am working with the Pastor at my church to see if we can do something similar to this. He lives in an area where the signal for 104.9 isn’t very strong so he hadn’t heard about the Ripple of the River program. As soon as I mentioned to him what the program was about and how it worked, he got excited about it. He and the elders have been looking for new ministries to put into action, and this is a simple, cost effective one that can really show God’s love to all those around us.

I plan to give out my own cards that I received from The River, but I wanted to let you know what was happening at my church as a direct result of this program."

In His love,

Todd Wentz

"I don’t have a card but listen to the River and believe in random acts of kindness. Last week I took ½ day off work because it was my son’s last day in 5th grade, I wanted to get his teacher something special. I was finished at Target, and went across the street to grab a quick hamburger and go to my son’s school. I noticed in my rear view mirror that the lady behind me did not look like she was having a good day. She just looked a bit, frustrated. So, I took the little note card and envelope intended for my son’s teacher and wrote in it “Have a nice day—pass it on”. I made a deal with the guy at the window taking my money to make sure that before he gave her the note, to make sure I had pulled away so she would not see me or my car. He just looked at me kind of funny and all I said to him was “random acts of kindness” and thanked him and drove away. It was so exhilarating. My heart was pounding and I really felt good. I only wish now that my son was with me so he could experience that as well. Maybe we will have to go to a drive through for dinner tonight."

"I wanted to share my story of how The River has affected me. I have been hearing a lot about the Ripple Effect and how it works and I wanted to experience the effects as well. I work with a young lady who is a single mom of two young girls. The two girls are 8 and 4 years old and they are such sweet girls. Mom receives child support from the children's father; until he lost his job and now he cannot pay child support. She uses this money to take very good care of the girls. This helps her pay her house payment, put gas in her car, buy groceries, and buy the girls clothes. By her losing this support she was not able to accomplish this at all. She did not even have money to buy any groceries or put gas in her car. This really spoke to my heart. To think of these two little girls that are going without and mom doing everything that she knows to try and provide. I spoke with my fellow employees and we all agreed that she needed help from us. We all donated what we felt was right to help her. With 6 people we handed her cash in the amount of $150.00. That was going to help with the gas and to buy food for the family. We got to see her smile for the first time in a long time and we one day she will be able to do the same for someone else!!!"

"You might remember me. I am a second grade school teacher with Olentagy Schools and back in March the entire second graders (and teachers) did a unit with the kids called Pay It Forward, Operation Delaware County and Beyond, Saving the World One Second Grader at a Time. The unit was a huge success, we wrote letters to soldiers (and received letters of appreciation and an actual American Flag that flew in combat in Iraq back), held a custodian appreciation day, and even visited a local nursing home to sing and visit (we were even featured on channel four news:) The kids really seemed to understand that paying it forward did make the world a better place and it was a neat unit to see.

Well, on the very last day of school, my class and their parents, the staff at my school, and my family decided to pay it forward to me. It began with a parents random act of kindness which was voting for me for teacher of the year on a website called Kidslinked.com. The parent than got other parents involved in the voting process, then the staff at my school, and finally my family. On the very last day of school, in the middle of my end of the year party with my class and their parents, in walked staff members, the president of Kidslinked, and 10tv news to award me with Teacher of the Year.

Later, when I finally realized what was going on and who had started "the ripple effect" the parent that nominated me (and started the voting process) said, "You did so much for these kids and paying it forward and I wanted to pay it forward to you."

This year my class and I learned many things-but the most powerful thing we learned was that acts of kindness can not only change your world but also change your life.

Thank you for your support in showing the world the impact that kindness can have."

"Hi:-)

I just wanted to share what I felt yesterday while mowing the grass:-)))

For quite some time now, whenever I help my son cut the grass, I cut the front.
Yesterday seemed like the typical day of the family taking care of the garden and sharing the mowing on our acre lot with a push mower... But, as I was walking cutting in circles around what is to me a beautiful Pine Tree with all of it's imperfections. As I got further and further away from our tree I could see the waves in the grass while I tried very hard to keep the front left tire on the track of the previous row, on occasion I wavered and got back on my path. The Lord laid on my heart the Ripple Effect and I began to think about life and how God is such a forgiving God! While some may look at your history & faults God chooses to forgive and see who you really are:-) His child that may get off track at some point in their life but, still Loved by God and put back on track.

While I have not received my Ripple Effect Cards yet, I have received and given blessings and I pray that God continues to stay by my families side when others look for imperfections.

May God Bless your Ministry"

"Please leave my name out of this, but the other day when I was going through starbucks, I heard a quiet voice say, "pay for the person behind you's order." I was like "What?" well, "okay". So when I pulled up, I told the cashier that I wanted to pay for the person behind me. So she took my money and I told her to tell them to pay it forward.

Then I got my order and left before that person got up to the window. All day long I was smiling and thinking about how maybe, just maybe God used me to make someone smile this morning. And I praised God for allowing me to have enough money to do that.

I hope to do it again soon. I am sure it blessed me more than it would ever bless anyone else.

God is so awesome."

"I’ve heard the stories of others on the radio, but today I actually got to be a part of one.

I’m a cashier at the Bob Evans Restaurant in Circleville, Ohio. I was checking out my customers today and I ran a credit card like the many others I receive each day. This time before I could ask my usually “How much would you like for the tip?” I was handed back the paper and a Ripple Effect Card.

The lady simply said “Will you give this to the waitress?”

I said sure, then I looked down at the ticket so I could type in the right amount for the tip. At this point I’m sure my mouth was hanging open as I saw $30 on the tip line. The meal itself was only $29.45! By the time I looked up to make sure it was right the lady had left. I finished the transaction and ran over with both copies to show the waitress so she would know it was real! Even when I showed her, she had a hard time believing anyone would leave a $30 tip! Most people barely leave 10%.

Most people I’ve heard comment they don’t like working on Sundays for they know that the “Church people” come in during the afternoon, in big groups that are rude, and leave small tips. I think this is sad, but I fear it’s all too true in most cases.

I praise God that some, like this lady have a chance to provide proof that not all Christians are like that. Some are willing to share the blessing God has given them, especially when so many people suggest to make ends meet nowadays. After all, it’s all God’s money anyway and I hope this encourages more people to share, knowing that if nothing else, God sees you and knows what you’re doing with what He gave you."

"On my half-time rural Pastor's income, I only eat out once or twice a month. The other day, I went to lunch and as I ate and read, the Lord suggested that I pay for someone's lunch. I don't have a Ripple Effect Card, so when I asked the cashier to allow me to pay for an older couple's lunch I asked her to tell them its the love of God. As I paid, my heart was overwhelmed. The cashier seemed moved as well. I often give but for some reason this time it was different -- intentional in a different way.

Then tonight, after an unexpectedly long day of ministering to folks, I was spent and famished. Little food at home, so I gritted my teeth and stopped for a cheap sandwich (because the grocery was already closed). I spent my last $4.50 for the month. As I checked out, the cashier slid me a 20 and said that a couple (who'd left) had asked her to give it to me. Whoa. So very humbling.

I do not believe, preach or teach that we are to give so that the Lord will bless us; giving, then, too easily becomes selfish and disgenuine.

I don't know if the young couple were doing the Ripple Effect from the River, but the Lord shook me up both in the giving AND in the receiving in just one week!

Guess I'll request a couple Ripple Effect cards now :)"

"I just wanted to share a story about the ripple cards. I have carried one around for a few months in my wallet--just hadn't used it yet- saving it for the perfect occasion--for whatever reason-I still had it when my 10 year old son and I went thru the drive thru at McDonalds. When it was time for me to pay -I fumbled for money and the ripple card fell out of my wallet-I decided to use it and paid the cashier a little more money for the meal of lady behind me. The cashier looked puzzled but I gave her the card and asked her to pass it on--

My son wanted me to explain my actions and as I did -he wanted to know if we could get more cards. That took on a delightful conversation on its own. However, later that day, my son and I heard a radio spot about the ripple cards and the testimony of a woman having a meal bought for her and how that really touched her-etc.( I knew it wasn't our woman-since I had heard that radio spot before many times) but to my son--IT WAS THE LADY AND WE WERE HEROS AND WE MADE HER DAY!

The look on that boy's face was priceless and such a true gift to me.
I knew I had done a good thing and often do such good things for people with no reward expected. It is just how God made me. But that particular day, God rewarded me with an extra special gift. How lucky I am!

I also know that Taylor had witnessed a true Godly heart and he will remember that message for years to come. Thank you for the opportunity to have this experience with him

We love the River!"

"I experienced the Ripple Effect this week at Wal-Mart. I hear about it all the time on the radio and have been waiting for the right opportunity to bestow it on someone else and it was bestowed upon me. We forgot to grab a couple things at Wal-Mart, when I turned back around to pay for them after I had already paid the lady behind me said oh, I get it for you. No big deal. I mentioned the Ripple Effect and she knew exactly what I was talking about. Praise God."

"My son and I went thru the Mcdonalds  drive-thru one day and I asked my son if he wanted to do something fun. He said sure. Well when I pulled up to the window to pay for our meal I asked the lady how much was the order behind us. She said do you now those people and I smiled and said no I do not. She couldn't believe it. I told her that when the people come up to the window just tell them God bless. (I didn't have any ripple cards.) So as we pulled up to the next window we watched in the rear view mirror and there mouths just dropped and just started waving saying thank you. My son really enjoyed watching there expressions and I just wanted to cry. It felt so good to do something like that.

The next week I went back to the same Mcdonalds and saw the same cashier and I asked her what they said and she told. But then she told me that she went to Burger King and she then paid for someones meal behind her. She said that it was the best feeling. It just goes to show how 1 little act of random kindness can cause the ripple effect."

Thank you and God bless.

"My ripple story is a strange one. One morning after hearing about the ripple effect I was in the McDonalds drive through getting my morning iced tea fix and looked behind me and noticed that the lady behind me looked a bit distracted. When I got up to the window, I asked the cashier if I could pay for the lady behind me order and the cashier was shocked, but did what I requested. As I pulled up to receive my tea, I watched in the rearview mirror. The lady did not seem to acknowledge that I had paid, which was fine with me. The part that makes this weird is that the person in front of me had a rather large order and was taking a long time to move through. As I was waiting, I looked behind me again, in time to see the lady for whom I paid for her order was pulling out of line and leaving the parking lot…without her order. So she did not get her order…but I do hope that something inside of her was touched, or in some small way, I brought a smile to her face and maybe brought some light to her day. Maybe someday she will be moved to pass along a kind gesture to someone else. I just ordered my ripple cards and hope to be able to pass some more kindness along the way."

God Bless.

"Thanks for the Ripple Effect. I was out to dinner and a young couple came in, he's trying to impress his date. She goes to the ladies room and he starts asking about prices. They order and we leave, but God said "I have blessed you so you can bless them!" So I paid for their dinner. The waiter was impressed."

"Today I was knocked off my feet by The Ripple Effect. My family (myself, husband and 3 kids) had been driving around for 2 ½ hours looking at land lots to build our dream home. We are hoping to move into a new town when we build. We would like a little country feel and still be close to amenities. But most importantly we want to raise our children in a good community and school system. Our 4 ½ year old, 2 ½ year old, and 14 month old had been very patient with us as we drove around looking and sometimes getting turned around. We were excited to stop for lunch at a quaint local restaurant, Sunbury Grill. After we squeezed our family into a booth a man and woman were seated beside us. It wasn’t long before our youngest was playing with the two of them and loving the attention they were giving him. The other two even got jealous of the attention the baby was getting and came over to that side of the table to say hello themselves. The two strangers were very pleasant and friendly. They complimented us on our children and told us how well behaved they were (thank goodness). Through chatting we learned the gentleman had three grown children of his own and his youngest shared the name of our oldest. I wonder if our family brought back memories for him. The entire Sunbury Grill was extremely friendly. I think it is the place you go where everyone knows your name. Although we were first timers we felt right at home.

When the table beside us (table one) got up to leave we exchanged more pleasantries and wished each other a good afternoon. When it came time to pay our bill we were informed it was paid for by the gentleman at table one. What! Who does that? What is this wonderful place we have arrived at? The server, Hailey, then handed us a Ripple Effect card and said “He told me to tell you to pay it forward.” And that is exactly what we will do!

What a great symbolic event to show us that we are indeed looking in the right community to raise our children! And what a wonderful lesson this taught our children! I’m sure we will continue to tell this story, maybe even to our grandchildren when they come visit us in our dream home. There is goodness and the glory of God all around us.

I pray table one will read this and know how much their act of kindness touched us!

Thank you Table One!"

"Although I didn’t use the ripple card, your station was used by God to create a ripple effect that I just had to share:

Today's 12:15 p.m. Funeral Processional:  I have been a long-time listener to your station and have found comfort, encouragement and strength through the music.  Today, however, was like nothing I've ever experienced ... we began the processional to the cemetery to lay to rest a beloved, young Christian husband and father who was killed tragically.  As I started out, I was greeted with the song: "I Still Believe" by Jeremy Camp.  I called my teenage daughter who was also driving with a car load of friends to the cemetery and invited her to tune in as the song was so appropriate. As the tears were still flowing, without interruption, the next song came on "While I'm Waiting" ... again so appropriate for the 3 teens who had just lost their father--to continue serving and loving others as their father had ... as God does things, we came closer to the cemetery and were embraced by the song: "Cry Out to Jesus" ... if ever I knew that God meets you right where you are, through whatever medium available, it was this afternoon.  I pray that others in the processional had turned to The River and received that gift directly from our Father.  Thanks so much again for your ministry.  We serve a great God.

Thanks so much"

"My wife and I were at a Sunny Street Café near Hard Rd. and Sawmill Pkwy. We were having a quick breakfast before church yesterday and got a chance to pay it forward/ or ripple.

I'm temporarily handicap due to a broken leg, but my wife was paying our bill and noticed they guy behind us forgot his wallet. Instead of him having to be burdened, she said we could pay his bill. He was thankful, and we just asked that he forward the blessing to someone else in need. It feels good to just do random acts of kindness. To reflect God's love and mercy to someone who doesn't know us from Adam, that he may get a chance to help someone else. That's our hope."

"My father began working at a large corporation about 5 years ago.  At this organization, walking around the halls is both necessary for many duties and a favorite break pastime.  When my dad started working, no one would greet or even look at each other when they passed.  Dad began saying, “hi,” or “good morning/afternoon” to everyone he met.  I began working at the corporation a year ago-the same time my father left for some better job opportunities.  I quickly learned that if one does NOT greet or at least make eye contact with the other person in the hall, it is very unusual.  My father’s persistence in greeting everyone he came across became the normal practice of the organization, and is a very encouraging, engaging, and unifying practice.  I am sure that this organization has no idea how much he truly contributed to the moral of the employees!  I just know that I am encouraged every day by a stranger’s greeting, and by returning the favor."
